On Wednesday, August 16, Lithuania decided to temporarily close two border crossings with Belarus – in Šumskas Tverečius. On August 18, the border crossings will be closed.
The Baltic countries and Poland are discussing the possibility of closing the borders with Belarus completely, this topic will be discussed at a meeting of the heads of the Polish, Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian Foreign Ministries on 28 August in Warsaw.
