According to a ordinance of the Minister of Health dated 16 June 2023, the state of epidemic emergency is revoked as of 1 July 2023. The Chief Sanitary Inspector has requested the cancellation of this state, due to the current epidemiological situation, one of the main factors taken into account is the decrease in the number of diagnosed COVID-19 infections and also the decrease in the number of deaths and hospitalisations.
The cancellation of the epidemic emergency will have an impact on legal residence and work of foreigners in Poland.
Therefore, by 31 July 2023, applications should be submitted for:
- the granting of temporary residence permits by foreigners exercising their rights under the COVID Act
- issuance of work permits or declarations on the entrustment of work to foreigners by employers exercising their rights under the COVID- Act
